DOPiX/Flow:
Workflow management system for administration processes
Corporate customer correspondence is based on a large variety of document templates, which often exist in several versions and have to be transferred across different staging environments. With DOPiX/Flow, you can be sure that when developing document templates, all DOPiX objects (templates, text components, etc.) are moved or staged across the various environments in a controlled manner, including release procedures and role-based authorization.
Document processes in a flow
Distributing tasks across multiple employees within a process can sometimes be challenging. It is often not evident which changes text or document administrators have made or why, when and where they did so, especially if multiple administrators are collaborating. It is important, however, that all parties involved are informed about who has changed an object. To meet these challenges, it is necessary to establish a high degree of organization and administration and to define appropriate processes and rules.
What is DOPiX/Flow?
DOPiX/Flow is an icon Suite module that can be integrated into the DOPiX/Admin processes as a workflow manager. DOPiX/Flow supports users in many tasks:
- managing related DOPiX objects across different release levels
- controlling processes across multiple employees
- identifying and reporting conflicts in the administration processes
DOPiX/Flow allows you to control and monitor administration processes across different DOPiX environments. For this purpose, process models are defined in DOPiX/Flow. They are valid for certain applications and can be used accordingly.
These process models map the individual tasks and their sequences together with decision branches when different tasks are available. A process flow is thus defined for each process, with the individual process steps and/or tasks being assigned to the users or user roles.
Role-based view of the individual work basket
After having logged in, the user is presented with a clear and simple user interface with a view of the work baskets and a search dialog. The DOPiX/Flow user interface is divided into three areas, all of which may contain different types of information. What is actually being displayed depends on user interaction.
Graphic modelling of document processes
Processes, or the sequences of tasks and actions, are stored as models in DOPiX/Flow. These process models map the individual tasks and their sequences together with decision branches when different tasks are available.
The individual steps and/or tasks are assigned to users or user roles.
For example, a process for changing DOPiX objects usually involves multiple roles, users or user groups. Thus, individual tasks are linked to user rights.
